Turning the Pages: My 2nd year Life

New places, new faces, new chances, new changes...

Those were the first thoughts that came to my mind when July 15, 2010 arrived, it was the time when Chapter 2 of my High School life began. The day when my life changed from being a Freshmen student to a Sophomore. As I walked in towards the hallway of my school campus, Colegio San Agustin, pressure and fear occupied my mind but those ideas were slowly vanishing as I met in the hallway my former classmates who were also my closest friends. I was part of the section Bl. Maria Teresa of Fasce which was headed by a math teacher, Mr. Lawrence Anthony Banta. The first days of my 2nd year life go on well but not all of them were filled with happiness and laughter. Like any other story, problems always play a big part on the plot. Within those days trials and misunderstandings arouse but i guess that is just a examination to test and to tighten our relationship with each other. Second year is just starting and I guess there's still MORE to come as what the word sophoMORE says. I think it will be best to keep on moving forward and go with the flow. Maybe it's too early to jump in to conclusion to what will hapen in this new chapter I have opened.

"...Trust is a fragile thing-difficult to build, easy to break. It cannot be bargained for.Only if it is freely given can it be expected in return."

Prologue: The Beggining of My Story

It was about 10:15 in the evening of March 7, 1996 when my mother gave birth through normal delivery to her youngest son, me. Both my parents were hesitant on what name would they give to me. At first they thought of naming me "Ed" it was derived from their combined initials but later on they find it too short and too simple. They then came up to the name of "Jeff Denver" my parents told me that my name was the fusion of two names they have seen it the yearbook. I am currently residing here at Binan, Laguna together with my mother Emelita F. Dela Cruz, a former accountant but chose to be a housewife, my father Dinasto M. Dela Cruz, a seaman and with my two brothers namely Dave Emil, a Multimedia Arts student of Mapua Institue of Technology and Ralph Michael a graduate of Business Administration in De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, Cavite. Sadly my eldest brother died before I was even born and then my sister also passed away when i was four years old so I had no chance of getting to know them more. But I couldn't ask more because I am very delighted that God has given me this family.

I am currently a second year student in Colegio San Agustin Binan, Laguna where all of my other siblings
took their primary and secondary education. I belong to the section Bl. Maria Teresa of Fasce. I am also a current affiliate of the theater arts club organization called Dulaang Kruhay. My academical life isn't that stable. There are times when my grades would reach almost the top but sometimes I couldn't even reach the top ten students of our class. My dream in life when I grow up is to become a Engineer but I suppose it's to early to think of what's ahead when I should be thinking about the present.

Based from my early experiences, life is a gift that you couldn't get from anyone else except God. It isn't something you can't have twice. Life is only given to us once and we should make out the best in everyday of our lives. You can never turn back the hands of time to go back to the past and correct all of your mistakes. My life has been shaped with different patterns of experiences in life that helped in molding my personality and became who I am right now. I know that each day a new chapter of stories, problems and hardships would unfold to me but I will just keep on turning the page to reach my goal. I will keep on moving forward and never give up. I know God is there, I know God will guide me.
